Dirk Nannes has signed for Glamorgan as an overseas player in this year’s Friends Life t20 competition.

Dirk Nannes, the Australian left-arm fast bowler, has signed for Glamorgan as an overseas player in this year’s Friends Life t20 competition.Nannes is the world’s leading wicket-taker in Twenty20 and Matthew Mott, the head of elite performance at Glamorgan, has hailed the signing as “gold dust” for the county.”He was on the radar for a number of clubs and we are very happy to have secured his signature,” Mott said. “We were looking for a strike and death bowler because they are like gold dust in T20 cricket. He is still one of the fastest bowlers in world cricket, and I am sure he will excite the public when he comes tearing in for Glamorgan.”Nannes has emerged as the archetypal freelance T20 specialist over the last couple of years. Now aged 36, he has given up first-class and List A cricket in order to specialise and extend his T20 career. He has already represented Middlesex (2008), Nottinghamshire (2010) and Surrey (2011-12) in the county game.But he stands out as one of he few cricketers to regularly appear in nearly all of the T20 tournaments around the world. In the last 12 months he has appeared in the Bangladesh Premier League (for Sylhet Royals), the Big Bash League (for Sydney Thunder), New Zealand’s HRV Cup (for Canterbury), the Sri Lanka Premier League (for Basnahira Cricket Dundee) and in the Champions League (for Lions). He also had an IPL deal with Bangalore but didn’t play a match.”Dirk is vastly experienced in this format and a proven performer,” Mott said. “With his experience of the competitions across the world, he will also provide a great deal of firepower and intimidation to our bowling unit.”Dirk has also expressed he would love to be involved with the club and utilise our facilities throughout the year. This will be invaluable for our bowling group to be able to tap into his vast experience and see how he prepares.”Nannes added: “I’ve enjoyed spells in county cricket and around the world,” Nannes said. “I am looking forward to coming over and playing for Glamorgan this summer. I’d like to think I can share my experience with the lads and be someone who can take crucial wickets for the team.”

تعرض فينيسيوس جونيور للعنصرية من جماهير فالنسيا، في المباراة التي خسرها ريال مدريد أمس في الجولة 35 من الدوري الإسباني، التي طُرد خلالها البرازيلي بسبب الاشتباك مع الجماهير ولاعب الخفافيش.

أحداث ملعب ميستايا، أعادت فتح الجدل بأكمله حول العنصرية التي تعاني منها ملاعب كرة القدم، وتحديدًا إسبانيا، حيث تعرض اللاعب للعديد من المضايقات هذا الموسم كلما خرج ريال مدريد من بيرنابيو.

لا صوت يعلو فوق معركة فينيسيوس والعنصرية خلال الـ48 ساعة الماضية في إسبانيا، وهو ما سيطر على مؤتمر كارلو أنشيلتي قبل مواجهة رايو فاليكانو غدًا الأربعاء.

وقال أنشيلوتي: “ما حدث يجعلنا نشعر بالقلق، لن نتوقف عن الحديث، هذا الموضوع خطر على كرة القدم. فينيسيوس حزين وكان محبطًا مما حدث في ملعب ميستايا”.

وأضاف: “فيني ضحية، علينا جميعًا أن ندرك ذلك. ما حدث في فالنسيا ما كان ينبغي أن يحدث، العنصرية في كل مكان وليست في إسبانيا فقط”.

وأكمل: “لقد تعرض فينيسيوس للعنصرية في ميستايا ومايوركا وبلد الوليد والكثير من الملاعب، ربما يكون ما حدث في ميستايا والحديث عنه بداية لتغيير الوضع”.

وأردف: “ما قاله تشافي في المؤتمر الصحفي شيئًا مثاليًا، وأنا شخصيًا لا أعرف لماذا الإعانة في كرة القدم، دائمًا ما يطلقون الهتافات العنصرية والمعادية والألفاظ التي نخجل سماعها، الأمور تسوء لحد الإهانة بالأهل والعائلة. نحن نريد الاستمتاع بكرة القدم. إنها ليست حرب”.

وواصل: “أشعر في إسبانيا أنني ذاهب لحرب وليس للعب كرة قدم. الشرطة في كل مكان على عكس إنجلترا مثلًا، لماذا كل هذه الأشياء ونحن نلعب كرة القدم من أجل الاستمتاع”.

وشدد: “لن نكتفي بإدانة هؤلاء المشجعين، علينا أن نتصرف بشكل أكبر، لابد وأن يحصلوا على العقاب اللازم، حتى لا تتكرر مثل هذه الحالات مجددًا”.

واستدرك: “فينيسيوس تحدث معي بحزن شديد بعد المباراة. الآن هو يحظى بدعمنا جميعًا، إسبانيا ليست عنصرية كما قلت، وهو يعلم ذلك، لكنه تعرض للعنصرية أكثر في ملاعبها. سننتظر ما سيحدث وما يفعله الاتحاد والرابطة، لكننا لن نتنازل عن قرارات صارمة وعقوبات على العنصريين”.

وعن استفزاز فينيسيوس للمنافسين، قال كارلو: “لقد تحدثت عن المشجعين، ربما يُلام فيني لأنه يستفز المنافس بشكل مبالغ فيه، لكنني أتحدث عن المشجعين في كل مكان، لقد بدأت الهتافات قبل ساعتين من انطلاق المباراة. أحدهم برر ما حدث وقالوا أنهم لم يهتفوا ضده بكلمة “قرد” وإنما قالوا “غبي”.. ولكن لماذا الإهانة من الأساس، كل هذه الكلمات مُهينة لأي شخص في العالم”.

Umesh Yadav, the India fast bowler, will return to competitive cricket when he takes the field for Vidarbha in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Odisha on Thursday in Indore. He last played for India in the Ahmedabad Test in November 2012 before a stress reaction of the back sidelined him. Yadav said he will be selective and will manage his workload in the IPL that follows.”This will be my first competitive game in four months,” Yadav told PTI. “Irrespective of the amount of effort you put in at the nets, there is no substitute to match practice. Tomorrow, I will get an idea about how I am shaping up. I am planning to play all the group league games, which are on successive days, which will provide me with an idea as to how my body is holding up.”Yadav also said he will take it easy during the IPL and will monitor his workload properly, lest he puts his back under too much pressure too soon. “I have fully recovered from my lower-back injury. I will be available from the first match for Delhi Daredevils, but considering the number of matches and the amount of travel involved, I need to be careful about the workload and will speak to the coaches regarding that.” The Daredevils play their first match on April 3.Yadav resumed bowling in the first week of March, and has been under the supervision of the specialists at the National Cricket Academy. “I didn’t want to rush my comeback,” Yadav said. “When I first started bowling, it was off a four-step run-up. صحيفة “سبورت” الإسبانية، أكدت بأن برشلونة سيرتدي زيًا مختلفًا في مباراة مايوركا، على ملعب كامب نو، بمناسبة مرور 66 عامًا على ذلك الملعب، بعد افتتاحه في 1957.

وستكون تلك المباراة الأخيرة على ملعب كامب نو هذا الموسم، قبل أن تبدأ أعمال التجديد في الملعب الأسبوع المقبل، حيث يأمل البلوجرانا في العودة سبتمبر 2024 في ظل استمرار التجديدات.

Sajid was dismissed on 48, with Shoaib bringing up 52 before being bowled by Abdur Rehman. Malik scored an aggressive 108 off 76 balls to keep PIA in the chase, but was restricted by the fall of wickets tumbling at the other end. In the end, PIA fell by 27 runs as they were dismissed for 304 in the 49th over.Sui Gas Northern Pipelines Limited pulled off a close two-run win over Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited in their second match of the tournament. Batting first, SGNPL put on a strong batting display as their top three batsmen chipped in with key contributions.
